The 2025 awards at The Grand Hotel, Brighton bubbled with excitement, applause and more than a few hugs as we celebrated the stars of housekeeping, back of house and laundries in hotels and cleaning professionals in the care sector.

Organisers MEG Events thank all who played a part in the success of this year’s awards, particularly the sponsors and judges who help so much behind the scenes to ensure this gala event is a success.

We’re delighted to showcase here the winners and shortlisted candidates – but also recognise that it’s a celebration for everyone, including those who are simply delighted to meet up with professional colleagues when the ‘day job’ keeps many apart until we meet up.

The evening was excellently hosted by Peter Hancock, and we were very pleased that the generosity of those attending led to £1,950 being raised through a raffle in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK and The Oxford Pancreatic and Liver (OPAL) fund.

You are all worthy winners, but we finish with a special mention for Tina Seymour, director of group housekeeping at Seymour Hotels of Jersey, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by headline sponsor representative Rob McKellar-McCarthy of WGC.

Tina Seymour has set a benchmark of professionalism for the wider industry, while flourishing as a mentor and role model, with many colleagues crediting their professional growth to her guidance during a phenomenal career which is a testament to service, leadership, and passion.
